Spring 44: In the south of England, preparations for a gigantic amphibious operation are being completed in the greatest secrecy: the time has come for the Allies to liberate France from the Nazi occupation. At dawn on June 6th, thousands of ships set sail for the Normandy coast in the largest landing in history. Two months later, France's first army landed in Provence to pincer the routed Germans.
