Matisse exhibition at the Centre Pompidou: The Voyages of Matisse on Arte
On the occasion of the exhibition "Matisse, comme un roman" which will be held at the Centre Pompidou from October 21st onwards, Arte will be broadcasting Raphaël Millet's documentary about Matisse. A film that tells us the story of the travels he made to fulfil his artistic quest, in particular his stay in Polynesia in 1930 which brought him to the threshold of contemporary art with the invention of his uniquely coloured gouache papers.
The Voyages of Matisse: Chasing Light will be broadcast on November 1st at 6:05 pm on Arte and will remain available on demand until December 30th on arte.tv.
